Workplace Wellness
Are you ready to give your employees time-tested, research-backed health promotion tools? Want less stress-related sickness among your employees? Interested in cutting down on absenteeism-related costs at work?
When integrated into a workplace wellness program, Ayurveda — an ancient Indian medical tradition promoting optimal digestion, better sleep, and less stress — provides employees with a healthier, more balanced life, which in turn leads to increased productivity, reduced health care costs, and less absenteeism.
Among students from California Probation Departments and Stanford University staff who learned to incorporate the 108 practices taught in The Ayurveda Way into their daily lives, 95% experienced improved work performance and engagement.
These practices are simple, efficient and highly cost effective. Many of Ayurveda’s body, mind and spirit healing practices can be availed right from the comfort of your own kitchen and garden.
Sample Practices Include:
-
Reduce work-related stress and gain energy with 1- to 2-minute desk yoga exercises
-
Manage pain and sleep better with a 5-minute evening exercise
-
Eat to boost digestion, even if you don’t cook
-
Practice 5 to 10 minutes of meditation to enhance mental clarity
-
A simple spice you can add to food to make your taste buds water and boost your immunity
-
An all-natural way to reduce pain faster than painkilling drugs like Motrin and Advil

What People Are Saying
SHEREEN KHAN, TRAINING MANAGER
Alameda County Probation Department
"The Alameda County Probation Department recently conducted a pilot program based on Ayurveda (holistic medical system of healing) and yoga training for staff. After receiving wonderful reviews, I connected the instructor with California Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) to become an STC training provider throughout California, as all agencies, especially law enforcement agencies, can benefit from this phenomenal self-care training."
PETER WASOWSKI, CEO
Vasper System Used by Navy SEALs, NASA, Olympic Athletes
“The talk was extremely well presented. It was apparent you came from a beautiful space of love, sharing, and respect for your audience. I learned that food can be nourishing on a spiritual and physical plane when consumed communally with conscience, focus and above all slowly...it transformed my experience of eating."
MOLLIE, STANFORD UNIVERSITY STAFF
Stanford School of Medicine Health Improvement Program
“Exceptional training with superb instructors.”
MUNTU MBONSI, TRAINING SPECIALIST
Alameda County Probation Department
“This training is exactly what our unit needs and exactly what we want to be able to provide for the staff.
What this training allowed our staff was to be fed consistently. Over time, I think that helped their humanity grow and expand, because they were receiving tools for a higher personal quality of life. They are givers. They give a lot and they’re on guard, frontline a lot.
As they saw the tools, tried the tools, got a chance to do it, they felt more fellowship, more family, and more of their natural personality came through versus their professional personality, which was awesome."
ANNE, STANFORD UNIVERSITY STAFF
Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research
“Practicing yoga like this feels like a whole different experience that brings the physical and spiritual part of yoga together in a way that I truly cherish.”
SON, CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE PRESIDENT
ABC News
"Just wanted to say thank you for the sessions today. I could tell that the attendees thoroughly enjoyed it and want more!"
RICHETTA, ALAMEDA COUNTY STAFF
Alameda County Probation Department
“I love this training. I had been looking for something to give me balance and clarity and this is really working for me. I love it and I want to learn more about it. I feel more relaxed. If I’m feeling stressed out, I can now do the buzzing bee exercise and the breathing exercises. I’ve gained some tools to manage my stress. I plan on making the recipes you taught us soon.
t’s definitely worth taking this class if you’re experiencing any kind of stress or discomfort. It has tools you can learn to help address it. I would advise anyone to give it a try. Even if you don’t use every single tool taught, there’s something for everyone to take away from this training. Everyone can learn at least one new thing from it. Thank you for offering the training.”
LASHONDA, ALAMEDA COUNTY STAFF
Alameda County Probation Department
“One of the most valuable things I have learned is the benefits of waking up early to empower my body with nature’s free medicine. I’ve also enjoyed being around my co-workers in such a positive, uplifting environment where there’s a lot of positive feedback. Everyone is really into the class. They want to be here and everyone seems to get something out of it. I appreciate that you bring wonderful food ideas and cook for us and let us actually experience it, so that’s really great. Sometimes, with trainees, they’ll say ‘here are your tools and here’s what you can do, but you don’t actually have a chance to practice it, much less sample foods. These aren’t the typical foods that we would purchase from the store, so to look out for healthier options and to know that it actually tastes good makes a difference."
